Since I have started serving full time, I have worked with children from different parts of the world, with different cultures and up bringing. I must say I never expected children from Muslim families to be so open to the gospel. Not only are they eager to hear stories about Jesus but they are also hungry for more. After sharing bible stories to kids in our missions center in Athens Greece, I’m always amazed with the number of kids who ask me to tell them more about Christ. The children we minister to are of all ages, mostly from Afghanistan and have all been through the most traumatic experiences, having to escape their homes and travel by boat to Greece, where they start their journey to find a safe country that will accept them. These kids have been brought up with a very different image of God, not a God who loves and accepts them but a God who is ready to punish them and considers them worthless. It is such a privilege to share the good news of Christ with them, especially at such a young age. Join us in prayer for these children, so they may come to know and praise the true living God as the loving Father He is. -Ruth. “ For great is the LORD and most worthy of Praise”. Pslam 96:4.
